A deep-cleansing facial scrub that uses walnut shell powder and corn kernel meal to physically buff away dullness and reveal a smoother surface. It’s a classic for a reason, offering a heavy-duty exfoliation that feels substantial and thorough. Use it once or twice a week when things feel particularly congested, but keep the pressure light—the abrasive particles do the heavy lifting for you.

Good

rough but effective

Definitely exfoliates, but the scrub particles feel too harsh on my skin. The apricot scent is nice.

Poor

A little bit too effective

This feels less like skincare and more like gently sanding your face. I get the appeal, your skin feels super smooth right after, like something definitely happened. The problem is… something definitely happened. The walnut shell particles are quite rough, which can be a bit much, especially if your skin is dry or sensitive (in my case: instant regret). It’s one of those products that feels effective in the moment but doesn’t necessarily help your skin long-term. If your skin is very resilient, you might get away with it occasionally. But for eczema-prone or easily irritated skin, this is probably not the kind of excitement you’re looking for. I’ve personally learned that “feels like it’s working” and “is actually good for your skin” are not always the same thing.
